Capucine Patchwork Contrast Denim Jacket
Description
The Capucine jacket mixes media on purpose: a denim shirt collar, denim cuffs, and a denim hem frame a patchwork body worked in knit panels. The contrast between the rigid trim and the softer center is the whole point, and the button front keeps the closure clean so the panels read clearly across the body.
The relaxed cut makes it an easy throw-on over a tee or a fine-gauge knit. Wear it with straight denim for a tonal look, or against a dress and boots when you want the texture to do the work. It layers under a longer coat in colder weather without bunching at the shoulders. The knit panels give the jacket more movement than a rigid all-denim style, so it does not fight you across the back.
Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colors, and hang to dry to protect both the denim trim and the knit panels. Avoid bleach and high heat, which can distort the panel seams. Button the front before washing. The fit is relaxed, so take your usual size. The measurements below are approximate and taken flat. Reshape the cuffs and hem while damp so the denim trim dries flat against the knit.
